A glimpse of our achievements

A high percentage of South Africa’s children grow up in a profoundly unequal society. Poverty threatens the early development of the majority of children. “The first 1 000 days offers a critical window of opportunity to address the nutritional needs of children and enable them to grow into healthy productive adults. After this time, the effects of undernutrition may be irreversible.”-ci.org.za By realising the importance of Early Childhood Development (ECD) in South Africa, JAM SA brings a holistic ECD programme to centres located in informal settlements and villages.

JAM SA focuses on food and nutrition security, food gardens, water harvesting, as well as ECD centre makeovers.

We have reached millions of people in many communities in Africa and through the adoption of a Complete Community Development Approach (CCDA) and we are hopeful that we will reach more.
