An extraordinary young man, remembered for his loud roar and gentle humility.

It is with great sadness and grief that we at JAM received the news of the passing of Simba Mhere who was certainly a member of the JAM family.

Simba’s parents, Joseph and Angela, are an important part of JAM and our sister organisation, Jesus Alive Gospel Outreach (JAGO), having worked with us for more than two decades. Both Simba and his sister, Valerie, grew up as a part of the larger JAM family having lived at, then later volunteered and interned at JAM on a number of occasions.

“Everyone who crossed paths with Simba agrees that his smile, kindness, sense of humour and genuine love for life and people were his trademark,” said Ann Pretorius, JAM Co-Founder. “We are saddened by the loss of such a young and vibrant life, but are grateful to have known Simba and to have witnessed him blossom to become a champion.”

From the entire JAM family, we pass our sincere condolences to all of Simba’s family and friends; all who knew him will miss his bright smile and vigour
