South Africa: SA Launches Charter On Children’s Literacy Rights on World Book Day

Nal’ibali has launched a Charter on Children’s Literacy Rights on World Book Day, 23  April 2014. The charter, which is freely available in all 11 official South African languages as a poster or download, highlights the range of literacy experiences that all children should have to enable them to learn to read and write. If every child  has access to Early Childhood Development (ECD) with the tools and resources they need to learn, they will begin ‘big school’ on an equal footing and have the same opportunity to flourish.
