With 120 000 children benefiting daily from JAM South Africa’s school feeding
programmes, the closure of creche’s/ECD centres is having a devastating effect on
these highly vulnerable children and their families.
In response, JAM SA has been distributing essential food hamper and hygiene products
to the affected families during the national lockdown.
Our most recent distribution initiative is a food voucher system,
that ensures we reach our beneficiaries efficiently, and safely, in a way that spares
dignity and even supports the local informal economy.
