Lifestyle Home Garden partners with JAM to give back
Red Bowl Special Plants at Lifestyle Home Garden
Every year Lifestyle Home Garden hosts a Garden Design Show which showcases garden designs created through the collaboration of Lifestyle College landscaping students and Lifestyle Home Garden. Garden and home enthusiasts then flock to the show to gain inspiration from these young, as well as experienced, minds. All customers are then offered to purchase a Garden Guide that explains what to expect at the show as well as much useful information on gardening.
This year Lifestyle chose JAM as it’s worthwhile charity to support. Funds are raised by selling the Garden Guides and the full proceeds are donated to JAM. Through the efforts of JAM staff and external volunteers R150 000 was raised, enabling JAM to feed 250 children for a year.
The Lifestyle team; Mike Gibbons, Daylin Gibbons and Robyn Sher handed the cheque over to JAM SA Managing Director David Brown at JAM Headquarters on 21 August 2017. Their commitment to supporting JAM has not ended with the Garden Guide. They have decided to promote a monthly Red Bowl Special of indigenous plants and will donate R2 to JAM for each plant sold as part of their monthly Red Bowl Special commitment to helping feed the children of South Africa!
Marketing Manager Robyn Sher said, “Apart from product donations we make, we also give back to good causes such as JAM in the way that we have this year. For us it’s literally about when we have the opportunity to contribute and to make a difference then we take it, because we always want to give back and do more”.
She went on to say, “We love working with JAM. Everyone is so committed to the cause and I must say we have been positively overwhelmed by the work that JAM does. We’ve only been working together for a year but I can see that we will stay partners for many years to come and get more involved in your programmes”.
